This October school break, join Nancy Language School’s October English Camp, specially designed for children aged 4–12 to learn English through play, hands-on activities, and exciting real-life experiences. At Nancy Language School, we believe that children don’t always need to sit in a classroom to learn English. Language develops naturally when children have opportunities to use it in meaningful situations—talking with teachers and friends, participating in activities, exploring new ideas, and having fun without feeling like they are simply “studying English.” Throughout the camp, children will use English as part of their daily activities, including Art & Craft, Cooking, Games, and Science Experiments. These activities are designed not only to build English communication skills, but also to encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, and independent thinking.

Traditional English lessons may focus on vocabulary, grammar, or worksheets. While these are important, children also need regular opportunities to listen and communicate in order to develop confidence and use English more naturally. At English Camp, children use English while taking part in meaningful activities. They will have opportunities to:

2. School Holidays Are a Great Opportunity to Create an English-Rich Environment

During the school term, children have busy schedules and need to balance many different subjects and activities. This can make it difficult to dedicate extended periods of time to English practice. School holidays provide a valuable opportunity to create an English-rich environment, where children can experience and use English more consistently without the pressure of traditional academic learning. Over five days each week, children will encounter English through a variety of activities and situations. Repeated exposure in different contexts helps children become more familiar and comfortable with listening to and communicating in English.

Learning English Through a Variety of Activities

🎨 Art & Craft

Children create their own artwork while learning English vocabulary related to colors, shapes, materials, tools, and processes. Beyond language development, art activities encourage creativity, concentration, self-expression, and confidence.

👩‍🍳 Cooking

Cooking provides a fun and practical way for children to use English naturally. From learning about ingredients and kitchen tools to following instructions and completing each step, children experience English in a real-life context. They may learn and use words such as mix, cut, pour, stir, hot, cold, sweet, and many other vocabulary items connected to the activity.

🎲 Games

Games give children opportunities to use English without feeling like they are doing a traditional language exercise. Through age-appropriate games, children practice listening, responding, asking and answering questions, teamwork, and communication while having fun with their friends.

🧪 Science Experiments

Science experiments turn English into a tool for exploring, discovering, and finding answers. Children will listen to explanations, make predictions, observe what happens, and talk about their discoveries—all while using English as part of the learning process.
